Everything you did and didn’t want to know about SQL Server statistics. What particular items you have to be most concerned about. Do we just turn on a maintenance utility and forget about it hoping that it works? What you can do that goes beyond tools such as Ola’s scripts. Clearing up many of the mysteries of statistics, some of the options that are currently available will be presented and what you can do to intelligently program your maintenance tasks to make your statistics adaptable.
